
Michelle Mackenzie
A credited governance professional, Michelle began her career working in the operations department of a political party. Her professional history also includes work for a Member of Provincial Parliament and advocacy for some of Canada’s most well-known brands to municipal, provincial and federal governments across Canada.
As a former Chief Administrative Officer and owner of an integrated government relations and communications firm, Michelle excels in analyzing organizational and policy issues and creating customized strategies to help her clients solve their business problems and become their own best spokespeople. Her understanding of the policy-making process and its players, combined with her practical, analytical, and strategic approach to issues, has allowed her to elevate the interests of some of Canada’s best-known organizations.
Innately curious, and a passionate lifelong learner, Michelle earned an MBA from Queen’s University, a degree in political science and history from York University, an advanced certificate in human resource management from the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Business, a certificate in Social Media Marketing from George Brown College and has completed the Governance in Practice’ Program offered by Governance Professionals of Canada.
When not in the office, Michelle can be found at the theatre, exploring an exotic international destination, or putting her interior design accreditation to work on home renovation projects for friends and family.
